Positioning of future wind turbines

Starting the week of September 15, a team from the Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n wind project will be on-site in the unorganized territory of Rivière-Nouvelle to determine the exact positioning of future wind turbines.

Essentially, this process will serve to validate existing cartographical information and optimize the position of the project’s installations, namely the turbines and related infrastructure. Factors such as the true position of rivers, marshlands, or vegetation that needs to be preserved will determine the precise position of the turbines for this future wind project.

This process is expected to last several days, but should be completed before the start of the moose hunting season.
