We recently welcomed our second group of trainees to the Mesgi'g Ugju's'n wind farm, and what an incredible couple of days it's been! This program is all about giving a taste of what it's like to be a wind turbine technician, and we've hit the mark.
Our new trainees got a crash course in electrical theory – the brains behind the power of wind turbines. But it wasn't just classroom learning; they got their hands on real equipment, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues just like they would on the job.
The real excitement kicked in on the second day. Each trainee had the chance to climb up a wind tower. It's one thing to learn about wind turbines, but it's another thing entirely to climb one and see the view from the top. It was a mix of nerves, excitement, and an experience they won’t forget.
